A little about me

Hi and welcome to my website!

Photography has been a big part of my life ever since I took my first photography class back in high-school in Sweden - I was hooked after developing my first roll and watching it come to life in the darkroom. I earned a BFA in Interior Design from F.I.T. in New York City in 2006 and have worked at several Architecture and Interior Design firms in NYC. Though I love design, I have always had a passion for photography, and since these two skills build on many of the same basic principles and merge well together - even better!

I specialize in portrait photography; families, newborns and babies, children, maternity, engagements, head-shots, and intimate events, but of course not limited to, so let's talk if you have something else in mind. I love capturing those unscripted moments when a person is not really posing, just being him or herself, families laughing playing together, kids running around just being kids - moments that truly reflect personality, emotion, and love. My approach is a mix of lifestyle/documentary and artistic portraits giving clients a nice variety, all worthy to be framed on the wall.

My goal for each photo session is for everyone to have fun and feel relaxed and natural. I love to get creative during our session and play with different angles, light, and backgrounds while keeping your vision in mind. I strive to make these captured moments move you and your loved ones for years to come as works of art.

I'm located in Montclair, NJ, but can come to your home, a park/playground, or a favorite spot in the Tri-state area. (I can also travel for larger sessions/events).
